Subnet & CIDR Calculator
CIDR (Classless Inter-Domain Routing) is the /prefix notation used to describe a network block, e.g. 10.0.0.0/16. Enter an IPv4 address and prefix to get the network and broadcast addresses, subnet mask, first and last usable host and total host count.
What is a subnet?
A subnet is a range of addresses sharing a network prefix. The prefix length decides how many addresses the block holds and which bits identify the network versus the host. Use the result to size a VPC, write firewall rules or check that two CIDR ranges do not overlap.
