BIP39 Mnemonic Converter
BIP39 is the standard that converts random entropy into a checksummed list of 12–24 dictionary words, and back again. Those words are the master secret for a whole wallet, so this page generates and derives keys only inside your browser and never transmits the phrase.
What is BIP39?
BIP39 maps 128–256 bits of entropy to a seed phrase drawn from a fixed 2,048-word list, with a checksum folded into the last word. The phrase is not the key itself: PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA512 stretches it into a 64-byte seed, and BIP32 derives child keys along paths such as m/44'/0'/0'/0/0.
Treat the words like cash. Anyone who reads them can spend the funds, and a single misspelled word produces a different wallet. Write them offline; never paste a real phrase into a website you do not control.
